Una which falls under the Shivalik Ranges is a district located in the southwestern part of Himachal Pradesh. This amazing destination is well connected by roads and railway acts as a gateway to places like Bilaspur and Hamirpur. With low altitudes, the district has a moderate climate and is best to visit during the winters to experience pleasant weather, its lakes and dams. This low-lying city has major Sikh culture owing to its proximity to the state of Punjab.
Pong Dam is the major attraction of the place as it houses a wildlife sanctuary with varying animal and bird species. It serves as a great spot for picnics with family and wildlife photography. A dome called Kila Baba Bedi Ji lies atop a mountain giving a panoramic view of nature and is popular for the indo-afghan architectural style.
